Aldi Rinaldi (the fifth meeting)

The fifth meeting in E-listening class

            In e-listening class, we are asked to listen the podcast. The podcast has different episode each meeting. In the fifth meeting, the title of the episode is about ‘Stupid Valentine’s Day’. After listening the episode, I get some information from it. For example The valentine’s day has many bad effects for adults and children.

            Before the class was begun, I prepared my equipment like laptop and headset. After that, I was waiting for the lecturer came to the classroom. Actually, the weather was not good on that afternoon because it was very hot. After the class was begun and the lecturer had broken us into some groups. The atmosphere in the classroom was changed, because we did not care about each other and we only focused on listening the episode. Actually, it was not as usual and little strange for me. After the class was finished, the atmosphere was changed back to normal as usual.

            The things that went badly on that day, it was about the weather because it was very hot and it was quite disturbing me to focus on listening the episode. The things that went well on that day, it was about the episode because it was interesting so I did not fell bored to listen it.

            During the experience, when the class was started until the class was finished, I had learned much things. I could get new information from the episode about Stupid Valentines Day.

            I think this method is very good for students, because as we know there are some questions that we have to answer and the answers of that questions is in the podcast. So, willy-nilly we have to try to understand the podcast. On the other hand, we can get a lot of  information from the other countries and we can improve our skill in listening. Next time, I will apply this method to improve my skill in listening.
